Website Usage Information
The public site does not currently load third-party analytics that profile browsing. The language of the page and the form source may be stored with a submission so staff can reply.

First-party cookies for language preference and consent, and local storage that remembers a dismissed newsletter prompt or a completed subscription.
Current forms include Contact Us, Partnership Inquiry, donation-related contact, newsletter subscription, volunteer applications, and hotline forms (get information, report a concern, request support). A hotline report can be sent without contact details. Job applications are handled through an external apply link or email, not through a HURDO form stored on this website.
How We Use Your Information
We use information you send in order to:
- Respond to contact, partnership, donation, volunteer, and hotline requests.
- Send HURDO updates if you subscribe to the newsletter, and honour unsubscribe links.
- Notify HURDO staff by email when most enquiries arrive (hotline concern reports are not emailed).

The website does not sell personal information and does not use advertising networks or campaign-tracking pixels.
Legal Basis for Processing
In practice, we process information you submit through forms in order to handle your request, and we process language and cookie choices so the site can work according to your selection.
HURDO has not published a legal-basis schedule for each processing activity in this project (for example a specific basis under Somali law or a foreign regulation). HURDO should confirm the legal bases it relies on before treating this page as a formal compliance statement.

The website is delivered over the internet. This project does not publish the physical location of hosting servers or the email provider.

Incoming enquiries are managed through the content-management system used by HURDO staff. Public forms include a hidden field to help identify automated messages.
No specific encryption standard or security certification is published in this project. HURDO should review and document its security measures.
Data Retention
Cookie-consent preferences are stored for about six months. Language preference is stored for about one year. Newsletter local storage remains on your device until you clear it or the site changes the storage key.
HURDO has not published retention periods for contact, partnership, donation, volunteer, or newsletter records. Those records remain in the CMS until staff review or delete them. HURDO should set and publish retention periods.
Your Privacy Rights
You can ask HURDO to access, correct, or delete information you submitted through the website by using the contact details on this page. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter through the unsubscribe link. You can change cookie consent at any time through Cookie Settings.
HURDO should confirm how it will handle rights requests and any timelines that apply under applicable law.
Children's Privacy
The public website is not directed at children. We do not seek to collect personal information from children through website forms. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
